Macaron Day
What:
Join the citywide crawl (which coincides with Jour du Macaron in Paris) for free samples of the confections from fifteen bakeries (and a total of 24 locations), including Bisous Ciao, Bouchon Bakery, Chantilly Patisserie, Épicerie Boulud, Spot Dessert Bar, and François Payard Bakery.
Why: A portion of proceeds from participating bakeries goes to City Harvest, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding hungry New Yorkers.

Why: Founders Allon Yosha and brother and sister Yoni and Donna Erlich debuted the breaded bites at Brooklyn’s beloved Smorgasburg.
