Hej: Danish-born, Berlin-based Dinesen has a taste for the avant-garde. He designed primarily for men until recently, though many of his pieces are unisex in practice. Prior to becoming a designer, he was a dancer. From the looks of his protest-inspired fall 2014 collection, he doesn’t shy away from a performance opportunity. What earned Dinesen a spot on our list, however, was the evident self editing. Anyone can make an aggressive statement; not everyone can make it elegant and wearable.
