The Weekend Guide

the fortress of solitude!

It’s a bird. It’s a play.

SEE
The Fortress of Solitude
What:
We were skeptical about how Jonathan Lethem’s acclaimed novel might translate from page to stage — especially for a Dallas audience unfamiliar with the rough and tumble streets of 1970s Gowanus — but from start to finish it made our heart sing.
Why: Michael Friedman’s original music and lyrics and the mostly New York cast have done Lethem’s work justice.
When: Thru Apr. 6.
Where: Wyly Theatre, 2400 Flora St. (214-880-0202). Tickets ($15-$120) at dallastheatercenter.org.

RELAX
Sweet Southern Blooms Pedicure
